2026 Kidding Schedule
Sales Policy
Choosing a Dairy Goat
We prefer to put all our animals in performance herds that do milk testing, L.A., show and register progeny so we can keep track of not only how animals produced but to also help prove our herd. Please let us know what you’re looking for and we will try to match you with the best animals we have available. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact us at any time and we will try and get back as soon as possible. As always thank you for considering us and please reach out if interested. We also may have adult animals available at certain times but their prices will be significantly higher as they will most likely be proven either in the show ring, milk pail, or through L.A. All kids will be disbudded before leaving and there are no exceptions to this policy. The new owner will need to tattoo their kid/s when old enough with our herd tattoo and their designated number with the correct designated letter for that year.
Reserving Your Regal Wood Acres Kid
Performance homes take preference over other reservations. To reserve the option to purchase a kid, a $100 deposit is required with remaining balance due within 2 weeks of notification of birth. If your choice of kid is not available or if the animal does not meet our standards of quality, we will gladly transfer your deposit to another kid if that is your desire, or you may keep the same reservation to roll over into the next year's kidding. If a doe dies and still has outstanding reservations, those holding the reservations have the option to transfer their reservation to another doe’s available one, or apply their deposit to a farm credit to be used on future animals. There may also be a change in the kidding schedule at any time until the doe is confirmed pregnant.
ALL DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. If for any reason a sale is canceled, there will be nothing refunded. Prices are subject to change at our discretion (and likely will as a doe ages, shows, milks, and LA’s), however if we do increase a price, we try to make sure it is completed before the doe is bred for her next freshening. We will never change at the last minute. Prices quoted are for reserved kids picked up or shipped between 3 to 6 weeks of age. We do not guarantee these prices for animals reserved after birth. As the breeder/owner of these animals, we do reserve the right to keep any animal born. Please note that Nigerians are a colored breed and we cannot guarantee that kids born will be a certain color. Kids rejected by buyers due to color/eye color/wattles are considered a canceled order.
What if I place multiple reservations and not all of them are filled?
If you place multiple reservations and not all of them are filled, you have the option to:
A) Keep your unfilled reservations to roll over into the following kidding.
B) Put the money from the unfilled reservations to the overall cost of the filled reservations.
C) Can also move to another pairing provided there are reservation spots available
Deposits and Payment
Prices quoted are for animals picked up/shipped off at the farm. We generally accept 2 buck kid reservations and 1 doe kid reservations from each dam per kidding. All other interests will be put on a free waitlist on a first come first serve basis. Deposits on live and mature animals will hold that animal until pick-up within 2 weeks. Sending a deposit is your guarantee that you will buy that animal at the agreed upon price quoted within this timeframe specified. Once a deposit is placed on a live animal, the goat must be picked up or shipped and out of my possession by 2 weeks unless other arrangements have been made and cleared with me or the animal may be offered for sale again or a boarding fee assessed at the rate of $30/week. Deposits can be transferred to another animal, but all monies paid on canceled orders are not refunded. Buyer is responsible for all health certificates, veterinary exams, blood tests, shipping, crate, and other costs associated with veterinary fees and shipment.
We accept checks but they must clear prior to the animal leaving the farm. Buyer is responsible for any and all bank fees assessed for bad checks. Please make checks or money orders out too: Kayleigh Menard. Cash is also accepted but will be checked before any animal leaves the property. We do accept PayPal payments but be aware that the buyer is responsible for all PayPal transaction fees. We also use Zelle and Venmo. Please include appropriate fees in your transaction at the time of the transaction. You can also send the PayPal funds as a "personal gift" or “Friends and Family” and fees are not assessed. Please indicate what the payment is for and include contact information if sending money from an unfamiliar name/email address.
Transportation of Kid/s
Although we encourage you to pick your kid up at the farm so that you may view related animals, this must be done by appointment only because of safety and biosecurity reasons along with our schedule. We realize this may not always be possible so limited delivery can be arranged to the local shows and events we attend, with or without additional costs. Let us know your arrangements well ahead of time so we can make the necessary airline flights to ship your new kid to you out of Eppley Airfield. All shipping costs, including individual cost of kid, Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (health certificate) and any related testing needed, shipping crate and shipping fees are to be paid in full by the buyer prior to time of shipping. We will provide either ADGA registration form or ADGA registration papers for any kid purchased by an ADGA member. Most kids will have their papers transferred online with the buyer responsible for the fees. Buyer ADGA number will need to be provided. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ARRANGING TRANSPORTATION!! WE WILL NOT BE FINDING TRANSPORTERS FOR YOU.
Buyer may:
1) send us your clean airline approved crate that is the correct size for your kid/s to be received at the very least one week prior to the anticipated ship date,
2) or send us funds so a new crate can be purchased, at the cost of buyer, for us to ship your kid/s to you (you keep the crate)
Bucks and Success of Sold Animals
Please know that we do not keep just any buck that is born. Our standards are high for a reason. Due to time and work commitments, please understand that we do not like to keep "extra" buck kids around once show season is in full swing, so please consider placing a reservation and/or contacting us early. Buck kids are rarely available from first fresheners and before a buck kid from a first freshener is sold as a breeding buck, his dam must be evaluated in milk for a minimum of 3 to 6 weeks. We ask that you view several daughters in milk before any Regal Wood Acres buck's semen is marketed to the public. We reserve the right to obtain 30 straws of semen from any buck we sell at the cost of collection. We do not make any guarantees and are not responsible for the success of animals that we sell. After they leave our care it is up to the new owner to raise and maintain that animal. If genetic abnormalities occur REPLACEMENTS will be made, when medical proof is given. In the instance that a genetic problem is found, the replacement will come in the form of another kid either from that year or the next year’s kidding season. Examples of genetic problems are, but not limited to, extra teats or sterility. There is no monetary refund for this.
Breeding/Retaining Policy
As stated before all pairings are subject to change until the doe is confirmed pregnant. As the breeders we retain the right to retain any kid/s born from any pairing regardless of reservations. AI breedings will have no reservations and if we decide to not retain it will first roll over to only performance herd reservations. There will be no reservations for color, eye color, moonspots, wattles etc. We also prioritize performance herds and will check to verify said herd before they get priority. If a reservation passes because of color or any other attributes (wattles, moonspots etc) then they will be removed from the list as that counts as a canceled order. As the breeder/owner of these animals, we do reserve the right to keep any animal born, or withdraw from sale an animal that does not meet our quality standards.
Before Pickup
The kid will be dosed with CalfPro. If not tattooed buyer is responsible to tattoo with correct tattoo information such as our herd tattoo RWDA and appropriate year and birth number. All kids will be disbudded (NO EXCEPTIONS) before pickup and take the bottle well. They will also all be healthy before leaving as we will not sell a sick animal. If anything happens after leaving the property we are not responsible and have no liability to compensate in any way shape or form. We also have first right of refusal if sold at a later date we must be contacted first to be able to buy back at the price we sold the animal for. CASH ONLY at pickup otherwise all money must clear before the kid/s or any animal leaves the property!
Thank you for your interest and we hope to hear from you soon!
We will have a sales agreement signed by all buyers:
